I bought myself this grill for Christmas when nobody else got it for me, and now I've had it almost three months and have used it quite a few times.I bought it based on the Amazon recommendations, and the recommendation of FoodTV host Alton Brown in his book, GEAR FOR THE KITCHEN.Also, in perusing the internet, I found the "Blue's BBQ" web site from Australia.One reader asks, "How did the Weber become the icon for the Australian BBQ?"Blue had to disappoint the reader by informing her that the Weber is actually American.But if it has that kind of reputation in Australia, is must be good.
Judging from the reviews here, I'll have to wait 20 years to see how it holds up.It does live on my back porch, but with the Weber cover.
It is fairly easy to assemble, and in my humble engineering opinion, seems well-made and designed with few exceptions.The Silver model has an ash catch-pan hung between the legs.The pan sits on top of spring clips clipped to the leg.After how well everything else went together, this seemed really cheesy to me.If you're a prefectionist, you'll go nuts trying to level the pan.
I guess that the "one touch cleaning" feature is the vanes on the bottom that also act to adjust the temperature in the grill by adjusting the airflow.If you swish them back and forth, opened and closed, it'll push some ash through the vent in the bottom.The problem is that the vanes themselves are wide and flat, and half of the ash just rides back and forth on them.I think Weber overstates this "one touch cleaning" feature.
The vanes closely fit the bottom shape of the grill when assembled, but after a couple of uses, one warped.I don't know if this is from heat, or something I lodged under it.I had to disassemble the vanes, and bend the offending blade a bit, and it's been perfect since.
I am a bit disappointed in some of the accessories, like the tool rack and little side table.They hang on the edge of the grill, and compromise the otherwise pretty good seal between the lid and grill.They also sell a lid rack, but note that the lid does comes with a hook in it so you can hang it on the edge of the grill, although it is certainly not as easy as using the optional rack.
Based on recommendations here, I got the 22" (larger) model.I can't disagree with that.Unless you just don't have the extra 4" of storage space or REALLY need a good grill, but just don't have the money, get the bigger one.It doesn't use that much more charcoal.
The other thing I scratched my head over was whether to get the Silver or Gold model.The differences were not completely clear to me until I actually got the grill.First, the Gold model adds a catch can that fits closely to the bottom of the grill instead of the pan I complained about.That would be nice.Maybe when you're grilling, hot specks of charcoal won't fall out the bottom and burn your legs, and if you grill somewhere where you don't want a lot of ash, this might be worthwhile.But the Gold is almost twice the price of the Silver, and I had a hard time justifying the additional cost.
The other feature added by the Gold is a grate with folding sides to allow you to add more charcoal when doing a long roast.A handy feature for sure, if you're cooking includes that, but I found those replacement Weber grates locally for twelve dollars, so wouldn't pay for the Gold model to get them.
And I guess that's another advantage of the Webers in general: They're so popular, replacement parts are easily found locally.Sometimes, I long for the built-in side table of the Platinum, but that's a lot of money.
The grill came with a small cookbook that has proved useful.I don't know getting burgers and steaks done right has been such a hit or miss, trial and error, proposition that most people make it out to be.You look up in the little book, "Beef, 1-1/2 in thick, well-done (I know, Alton Brown wouldn't like me), 10 minutes first side, 9 minutes second side" and they come out perfectly.
DEFINITELY pick up a Weber charcoal chimney if you don't have one yet.It's the best way by far to start the grill - no kabooms, no fumes, no smell, no dangerous fluids stored in your house, and a good use for Florida Today newspaper.If you want to try something different, pick up the book AMERICAN PIE by Peter Reinhert and try the grilled pizza.

Arrived in excellent condition and is a wonderful mitt. The husband, my father, and brother-in-law loved their Father's Day gifts.
Money well spent.I never was impressed with the tool holder from Weber that is made out of wire.The wire version is 1/3 the price, but you get what you pay for.I use my Weber kettle as a low temperature smoker (250 degrees), and it's vital to keep the temp constant for 6-8 hours.My initial concern was the the tool holder would cause an air leak between the bottom and lid, and create a problem, but the fit is tight as ever, and my latest smoke with this tool holder in place was the same as before using it.HIGHLY recommended addition to the Weber, so spend the extra money on this version.
We use this to carry our O-Grill to/from camping trips and it works well.It's very good quality, however the inside doesn't have enough padding to protect grill finish.Friction inside the cover has rubbed the finish off our grill.It's not a big deal, but we can't give it 5 stars.(we love our O-Grill and highly recommend)
This grill cover fits the CGC-21 perfectly...even when a propane cylinder is attached.The material is thick and protects the grill from the elements.If you're going to spend 200 bucks on the grill, why not protect your investment with this excellent matching grill cover!
You're probalby thinking that there's no reason to update the 10-year-old Weber you've got in your back yard.Well, turns out Weber has made some smart improvements over the years-- the new "gold" model is worth the upgrade.
Why did no one think of this before??!! The angle to the brush lets you baste your food without burning your fingers, duh.Plus it reaches to the back of the grill and if you're cooking a big roast it's easier to get behind it.And I LOVE that you can put it in the dishwasher & don't have to worry about a wood handle or bristles burning and/or trapping bacteria - my old brush always kindof gave me the heebie-jeebies, basting raw meat with it and then having to hand wash and air dry - thoughts of salmonella were never too far from my mind.Definitely an improvement over standard brushes (which trap either too much or not enough sauce usually anyway - this one picks up just the right amount.)This is one grilling tool that is going to get some use in my oven cooking, too!
I bought one of these things ten years ago and despite twice replacing it with big, traditional-looking (and very expensive) grills I keep coming back to this one.In fact, when we bought our latest one at a localfireplace/grill store, the owner just couldn't stop talking about thischeap little grill.He confided to me in a low voice that if I were tolift the lid of his own $2500 home gas barbecue, I'd find this little gemsitting inside because it's all he uses too.
I love this grill.This is one of my four weber kettle grills I own. 
I've had the electric patio caddie for a little over a year now, and it is an exceptional convenience.Living in an apartment complex where gas grills aren't allowed, the electric grill was my only viable alternative, but I didn't realize I was going to prefer it.Build quality is great, it heats up quickly enough (10 mins or so) and can maintain grilling temperatures of 400-500 degrees.Though compact, it is large enough to feed 2-4 potential culinary critics, from steaks to seafood to the exotic, you name it.The only slight problem I've found is that if you keep the porcelain lid off too long, the temperature can drop quickly, but for a compact grill, that's to be expected.Cleanup is not kidergarten easy, but it's not difficult either.Learn to use it (i.e. harness the "force"), and the Patio Caddie is extremely easy to control, master, and enjoy for years to come.A gas version is also available.From this review you'd think I work for Charbroil, but I don't!Great grill - 5 stars...
This fits perfectly with the O-Grill 3000, and makes it easier to grill by rasing the grill to 30". Nice design, secure, sturdy and folds/opens in a snap.
I've done plenty of research and seen many grills before picking the 'Char-Griller Pro 3001'.I think if you really want a solid grill that lasts forever, get a Weber.For me paying $700+ for a similar Weber isn't an option.You also should beware of the inexpensive stainless steel grills (anything under $400).Their not stainless, the metal is thin & flimsy and they start showing signs of rust in a matter of months.I even saw some demos with rust stains??This shouldn't be a problem with the finish on the Char-Griller.Plus I noticed it ranked well in Consumer Reports.I picked mine up at Menards for $149.00 (on 06/26/09).
I've wanted a new grill for my lake cottage for several years.It had to be of high quality & also versatile because it is our primary cooking area during the summer months.It had to be large enough to handle a crowd yet easy enough to use for just the wife & myself.The cottage is on an island, so reliability was extremely important - I didn't need to be shacking about for parts or God forbid, returning the unit. 
I was hoping for more of a tight fit around the base of the grill but all this cover really does is drape over. There are cords that can be tightened but, since the cover is somewhat undersized even for my Q120, it can only be tightened a little.
Almost every component that you will assemble (maybe two hours assembly) for this grill is cheap, poorly engineered junk. I don't know how this product even got a UL label. Buy something else like a name brand grill!

I've had the Q300 for about 10 weeks and grilled on it 3-4 times per week. Grilled steaks, roasts, chicken (both direct and indirect heat), pork 
Finally I have my grill with it's stand. This stand fits perfectly and it's really easy to put it up together. The 20lb propane tank fits easily and now I don't have to use a table to hold it.
Though this is a portable grill, it is terrific for at home use if you're single, or have a small balcony apartment. It takes very little space, and is easy to maneuver when cleaning time comes.
I thought by purchasing the genuine Weber product I would get a quality item.Too bad it is not made in the USA like the Baby Q grill which works very well.2 pushes with this brush and 3-4 tufts of brass wire fell out.I lightly pulled on a couple of others tufts and they came right out.A waste of money...straight to the garbage.Weber should be embarrassed to sell an item like this.Does anyone test them?
I just received this from Amazon (not a third-party reseller) last week, and am happy to report that Weber has listened to their customers and stopped with the vents.
